February Update
Updated 01/02/23

We hope you have the opportunity to visit the spectacular Scottish Western Highlands during 2023.

After the lull of January, February is a busier time here, with Scottish & English half-term holidays. It's also a period when the days are starting to get noticably longer, and there's usually subtle signs

of spring trying to break through. However it's still very much winter on the mountains, with skiing & winter mountaineering conditions often at their best this month.

We still have chalet accommodation available throughout much of the month, with tariffs priced competitively.

You can book online, or drop us a line to book anytime.

Please also check our Facebook page for any other late offers or info on what's going on.

For low-occupancy of a chalet (1 to 2 persons only), we have a current offer at £95 per night.

Minimum stay 2 just nights.

Not bookable via our website system, so please just call or text 07377 523633 to book.

SKIING - We're located exactly midway between the west coast's 2 ski centres, Glencoe & Nevis Range.

Both are just a 25 minute drive from us.

Please always check daily conditions reports from their respective websites before planning your ski trip.

MOUNTAINEERING & CLIMBING - We're also perfectly located for winter mountaineering & climbing, being exactly midway between the Ben Nevis massif and Glencoe mountains.

Please note that RoamWest Pub & Restaurant, located a 2 minute walk form the chalets, is closed until 10th February.

  • OUTDOOR CAPITAL - Activities & things to do in & around Fort William / Lochaber.

Planning your visit - Weather

To check what the West Highland weather will be doing during your visit, here are the most useful forecasts:

  • Met Office Forecast - The Met Office's local forecasts are particularly helpful for what weather is like 'on the day' in different parts of Lochaber.

  • Avalanche Forecasts - Essential daily reports for the winter mountain-goer, from the Scottish Avalanche Information Service. (SAIS)
